Junior Mentorship (JM) Program
RCAS’ Junior Mentorship program has impacted over 150 students since its establishment 4 years ago. With over 50 first-year student participants annually, RCAS matches each first-year student with an upper-year RCAS member as a mentor for the entirety of their first year at Rotman Commerce, providing a supporting figure that gives guidance through their transitionary period. RCAS’ JM program also involves monthly challenges for Junior Members (JMs) to complete with their mentor to help develop their professional skills and knowledge of the CPA designation and various CPA pathways. The program also provides activities and resources to help welcome first-year students within the community and provide them with connections in the vast RCAS Alumni Network.
Overall, this program aims to provide first-year students with the connections, support, knowledge, skills and confidence to be successful, not just in their first-year, but for the rest of their academic and professional journeys.

Testimonials

“As I went into first year unsure about networking or where I wanted to go professionally, I’m so glad RCAS was my first step. The RCAS JM program helped spark my interest in accounting after connecting with incredible upper-years, and gave me a real sense of community through its exclusive socials, especially as someone new to the city. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to take that first step like I did!”
