Beyond the Books is a professional networking event designed to help Rotman Commerce students explore career opportunities across a variety of industries outside of traditional accounting pathways. Our interactive case workshop teaches students how accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills can be applied in real-world scenarios across various industries and business functions, including corporate finance, operations, strategy, risk management, and client advisory. Through conversations with industry professionals, students gain insights into the broader role accountants play in business decision-making, discovering how a finance and accounting background can unlock meaningful careers beyond traditional public practice.
